How are you? First of all, thank you for investing in yourself and in your clients! You’re going to love your new semi permanent makeup and how EASY it makes your life!
Proper preparation for a semi permanent makeup will help to achieve the best possible healed results, so be sure to prepare accordingly.
Here’s a few important things you need to do and be aware of before we do your treatment (this includes your 6 week top up’s and your colour boosts!)
If you need your eyebrows waxing or tinting beforehand please book in 4-5 days before. This can't be done on the day.
NO caffeine 24 hours before your appointment. This means tea, coffee, canned drinks etc. This is because caffeine thins your blood and may cause you to spot bleed which will push the pigment back out that I have implanted!
No working out or heavy sweating on the day of and before your treatment.
NO botox or fillers should be done 3 weeks prior to your appointment.
No Invasive Chemical Peels or facials within 6 weeks as this will cause the brows to peel and heal quicker than the normal process.
No sun burn on your face
No tanning a week before
Stop taking aspirin, niacin, vitamin E, fish oil, CoQ10 and ibuprofen 48 hours before procedure. Please consult your doctor if you need authorization to do so.
No Retinols/Retin-A or other anti-aging/acne creams, or serums containing acids to be used 7-10 days before as these will fade brows prematurely
Here's the annoying bit, Semi Permanent Makeup is not recommended for people who:
Sick with covid, cold, flu, or sinus/respiratory infection (please reschedule your appointment and stay home to recover)
Skin irritations including: sunburn, rash, eczema, shingles, acne, or psoriasis near the treated area
Pregnant or nursing
Under age 18
Had Botox within 3 weeks from scheduled appointment
Used Accutane in the past year
Diabetes
Epilepsy
Undergoing chemo
Prone to keloid scarring
Pacemaker or major heart problems
Had an organ transplant
Viral infections and or diseases
Transmittable blood disease, HIV or Hepatitis
MEDICATIONS TO AVOID BEFORE Semi Permanent Makeup
The following medications are known to affect the blood clotting process. Therefore, these medications need to be avoided (7) seven days prior to your procedure.
