Dark Circles, and how to get rid of them

Hi loves how are you doing?

Today I wanted to touch on dark circles. Firstly I want you to know that these are normal and at some stage in all of our lives we experience them. Any one from any ethnic background can experience these too!

Dark circles can be hereditary but can also be caused by our busy lifestyles (I feel like i’m talking to myself on this one huns!). Things such as not not enough sleep, sun and UV damage (I know you’re thinking here she goes again with the SPF talk - but trust me SPF protects you more than you bloody realise).

Before we go any further, I NEED you to know how delicate the skin is under your eyes! The skin in the under eye area is so, SO thin, this is why you can see the blood vessels in that area. Anything you use on your under eye needs to be sensitive.

Ingredients to look for to add into your skin care routine to help reduce dark circles:

Vitamin C Serum: Is a fabulous antioxidant that helps with the production of pigment in the skin which fades the dark marks.

Vitamin C is a skin brightener (for all my darker skin girls, don’t worry this is not in any form bleaching as i’d be the first one to dash it weh - LOL). Vitamin C can lighten scars, dark circles, blemishes and most forms of hyperpigmentation. So it increases collagen production which then increases the elasticity of your skin, which will then decrease the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

Product Recommendation:

Clinicare glow Serum (this is one i personally use)

Niacinamide Serum: Niacinamide is part of the vitamin family - it’s also known as vitamin B3 to be precise. This supports your skin’s barrier. It is very hydrating, improves textures and makes your pores look smaller. It’s also great for balancing oil production, so if you have oily skin this one is for you hun! It decreases redness and any blotches which may contribute to the look of your dark circles.

Product Recommendation:

Retinol Serum: Retinol is great for anti ageing! This also increases collagen production and helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles which then reduces the appearance of dark circles! If you’re worried about ageing then you need this in your regime!

Product Recommendation:

If you need any help with anything just give me a shout my dm’s and emails are open!

Please forward this to anyone you think will find it useful.

Have a great week ahead darlings!

Love and glamour,
